“Love yourself!”

This is the message we see everywhere. From TV ads to superhero comics, we are told that if we just have faith in ourselves, we can accomplish anything.

But of course, a tiny voice in our head screams “NO!”. And while we know that we can’t get to all those great heights that we wish we could, through belief alone, there are several studies that suggest that we can come really close.

Unfortunately, a lot of us experience low self-esteem and confidence at some point inour lives. Normally, this can happen because of a specific event or incident, and mostly, we’ll heal on our own. It is only when the feeling of not being worthy or valuable enough lingers around for a long time that things can start to get dangerous— for your health, work, and even your life.
