Combating negativity with hypnosis

negativity with hypnosis

Life has its ups and downs therefore we will all find ourselves in a place of negativity at some point or the other. Some people are very well-equipped to deal with negativity. They are in charge of their minds and emotions and are able to separate their negative thoughts from reality.

Others aren’t so great at dealing with their emotions; they drown in their negativity instead. If a negative mindset isn’t taken care of in time, it can become a way of life and once that happens it will interfere in your day-to-day activities, it will affect the decisions you make and your relationships.

Unless it is nipped in the bud, negativity can lead you down the dark path of self-sabotage and depression.

In order to defeat negativity, you need to confront it head on. Begin by accepting that you have a problem, you can then proceed to seek treatment.

Pull yourself out of negativity with hypnosis

implanting positive behavior

Hypnosis is a great way of breaking negative thinking patterns and implanting positive behavior instead.

Bypass the conscious

The biggest advantage of hypnosis over other kinds of therapy is that is bypasses the conscious mind. The conscious mind has a “critical filter”, this is what disconnects the conscious from the subconscious mind. The critical filter is prone to selective filtering and is responsible for shaping thinking patterns based on past-experiences.

For most of us, the conscious mind is set in its ways. When you attempt to change it, it puts up a fight.

However when it comes to combating negativity with hypnosis, you bypass the conscious mind and dive straight into the subconscious.

Dealing with the subconscious mind

Unlike the conscious mind, the subconscious doesn’t have a critical filter. When you’re asked questions in a subconscious state, you simply answer them without over-thinking.

Think of a hypnosis session as a way of getting to know yourself better. Your conscious mind may struggle with self-reflection but the subconscious mind lets everything out – even things you may not be aware of.

By regularly engaging your subconscious, you’re coming to terms with how you really feel about situations.

The subconscious reveals triggers of painful memories which then enables the hypnotist to implant positive associations in your mind so the negative memories don’t take over.
